1

Arrive at Colombo

On arrival at the Bandaranaike International airport, you will be warmly greeted by your very own chauffeur guide and transferred to Colombo. On arrival at the hotel, spend the day at leisure relaxing and enjoying the hotel facilities.

Colombo – Dambulla to Sigiriya (Approx. 4 hrs. drive)

Breakfast at the Hotel. After breakfast proceeds to Sigiriya en route and visits Dambulla Cave Temple.

Dambulla Cave Temple: Dambulla Cave temple is one of the most impressive and well-preserved cave temples in Asia. This complex contains five caves with over 2000 sqm. of painted walls and ceilings. This emphasizes the artistic talents of the people who lived on this small island. Due to its artistic & archaeological values, Dambulla Cave temple has been listed as a UNESCO world heritage site. After an unforgettable day, you’ll be taken to your hotel for a well-earned rest.

Sigiriya - Polonnaruwa

After having a palatable breakfast at the hotel, get ready for the day which is full of surprises for you. Start your day with the Sigiriya Rock fortress. 

Sigiriya Rock Fortress: In the 5th century, King Kashyapa domesticated the Lions Rock, by building a palace atop its summit & well designed for its defenses by having ramparts and moats built around it. The Rock itself has its unique identity due to its shape not being found anywhere else on the island. 

later you will be driven to Sigiriya village for a once-in-a-lifetime experience. This Village tour begins with a short walk along a man-made reservoir. This beautiful village is surrounded by scrub jungles, marshlands, and agricultural farms. The amazing birdlife, butterflies, and possible sightings of crocodiles only add to the charm of seeing the villagers as they go through tasks of fishing, or washing clothes at the periphery of the lake. You will experience a boat ride, bullock cart ride, rural vegetable cultivation, and paddy fields. Also, enjoy an authentic Sri Lankan Lunch there. 

After this your next destination is the Ancient City of Polonnaruwa, Polonnaruwa remains one of the best-planned archeological relic sites in the country, which was declared a UNESCO world heritage site in 1982. This is a well-preserved city with ancient dagobas, moonstones, beautiful parks, massive buildings, and stunningly beautiful statues. The Sea of Parakrama, a vast 12th-century man-made water reservoir is also one of the main highlights of this wonderful ancient city. Moreover, this is one of the best ancient cities in the country that gives a big experience within a short period of time as the monuments are in a more compact area. Later you will be transferred to the hotel.

Sigiriya - Kandy(Approx. 3 hrs. and 30 min. drive)

After a sumptuous breakfast, check out and drive to Kandy via Matale. Stop there to visit the Spice garden, for centuries, spices have been one of the most celebrated exports in Sri Lanka. They have been used for medicines, cosmetics as well as to flavor foods. History says that the Greeks, Arabs & Malays had linked with the Sri Lankan business field through the spice trade. Spices provide ground for traditional Ayurveda. 

In the afternoon, you will enjoy a city tour of Kandy. To the Buddhists of Sri Lanka and the World, Kandy is one of the most sacred sites as it is the home of the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic of Lord Buddha. During this city tour, you will cover Bahirawakanda temple, the upper lake drive, the art, and craft center, a cultural show, and the Kandy temple. 

Kandy Cultural Show (Optional): Starting in the evening, Kandy cultural show captivates your ears and eyes with spectacular displays of local culture and art. You will see drummers, fire dancers, and more in a cultural spectacle covering various aspects of Sri Lanka’s traditions in this one-hour show. After this memorable day filled with thrills and amazement at varied flavors, you will be transferred to your hotel for a well-deserved sleep.

Kandy- Nuwara Eliya (Approx. 3.5 hrs. drive)

The fourth day was pleasant but also quite taxing for you. Check out of your Kandy hotel after a wonderful breakfast and travel to Nuwara Eliya. The Tea Plantation & Tea Factory will be your first stop. As you travel there, you’ll pass vast expanses of greenery and tea plantations. Enter a tea factory to see how Ceylon tea is made and to sample a cup of authentic Ceylon tea.

The Ramboda waterfalls will be your next visit after you’ve had a cup of tea. It has been ranked as the 729th-highest waterfall in the world and the 11th-highest waterfall in Sri Lanka due to its height of 109 m (358 ft). It was created by Panna Oya, a Kothmale Oya tributary. The falls are located 945 metres (3,100 feet) above sea level. Don’t forget to visit the major waterfall of Ramboda, which is located at the base of the Ramboda in Nuwara Eliya, Sri Lanka. Obtain some lovely images to use in your album. You’ll be driven to Nuwara Eliya afterwards. The town of Nuwara Eliya, also known as Little England, experiences spring-like weather all year long. The village, which was a favoured hideaway of the British during colonial times, is peppered with bungalows and cottages in the English country Style. During this tour, you will drive around the city and visit Victoria Park, Gregory Lake, and the 19th-century Golf Club. After this check-in into the Hotel & enjoying the hotel facilities.

Nuwara Eliya-Bentota/Beruwala (Approx. 5.5 hrs. drive)

Check out of the hotel and make your way to your next location after breakfast. Proceed via Kithulgala to Bentota/Beruwala. The renowned St. Clair’s & Devon Waterfalls, one of the twin waterfalls of Devon, offer one of Sri Lanka’s most beautiful waterfall sceneries to any tourist. Your private English-speaking tour guide will take you there. Perhaps nowhere else in Sri Lanka can you see two spectacular waterfalls, one very different from the other, from the same vantage position. After that, get ready for the adventure and thrill.
Whitewater Rafting: You don’t need to have advanced rafting abilities or swimming expertise to go whitewater rafting on the Kelani River. Due to the Kalani River’s rapids’ grades of 2 and 3, this exhilarating adventure ride is suited for even those who are trying it out for the first time. As examples of unusual names for some of the rapids, consider Virgin’s Breast, Killer Falls, Butter Crunch, and Head Chopper. While enjoying this magnificent trip down one of the nation’s most beautiful rivers, be prepared to swim in the water. Later, Return to the hotel in the evening and rest up since you have a lot more exploring to do the following day.

Bentota sightseeing

After a hearty breakfast, take in a Galle city tour. You will be picked up from your hotel at the start of the tour in the morning. The renowned Galle Dutch Fort, which was constructed by the Portuguese in 1588 and heavily strengthened by the Dutch during the 17th century, will be the destination of your private English-speaking tour guide. This historical, archaeological, and architectural landmark has undergone substantial repair work by the Sri Lankan Archaeological Department, which has allowed it to retain its polished aspect even after more than 423 years. The fort has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in recognition of its historical significance.

Take a Madu Ganga River Safari (Optional): Later, the Madu Ganga Boat Ride, which is in Balapitiya, would be your final stop for the day. The caverns and distinctive mangrove vegetation lines of Madu Ganga are well known. The Madu Ganga estuary, a 915-hectare complex coastal wetland habitat that opens to the Indian Ocean, is a largely untouched lagoon. On this boat ride, you may witness kraal fishing structures and fishermen traveling in rowboats to get the catch of the day. A pond heron rises tall in the lake, a blue kingfisher flies occasionally near the kraal, and other wetland birds have awoken from their slumber. On this boat trip, you may participate in activities including worship at Temple Island, fish treatment, and a visit to Cinnamon Island. Return to the hotel in the evening and rest up.
